Sri Aurobindo Siksha Kendra – Monthly Report (October 2017)

Following Puja vacations from September 22 to October 8, 2017, Sri Aurobindo Siksha Kendra at Bishnupur in West Bengal reopened on October 9.

On October 15, 2017, the school celebrated Bijaya Sammilani in a joyful ambience. The event started at 5 p.m. with meditation in true Bengali spirit. This was followed with outstanding performances by the children who sang ‘Devi Durga’ and a few Rabindra Sangeets. At the end of the event, food packets were distributed to all those attending.

Besides, regular classes were held in the school from October 9 to 18, 2017. Teachers narrated the life of Sri Aurobindo to the students in the ‘Vital’ class. Apart from regular classes, the children also learnt different steps and methods of tree plantation in the EVS (Environmental Science) class. While in GK class, they learnt names of various fruits, flowers, animals and different types of vehicles.

Meanwhile after Diwali vacations from October 19 to 22, 2017, the school students have been preparing for their final term exams. Special emphasis is being given to conversation skills in classes, and games related to Memory and Balancing are played by the students with great enthusiasm.
