18 students from various branches of study from Sardar Patel University, Gujarat, were on a week-long visit to Puducherry from 20 to 27 June 2015, for an exposure to the teachings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother for the youth. Shivakumar and Dr Sampadananda Mishra of the Society interacted with the students.

On the first day, Dr Sampadananda Mishra, Director, Sri Aurobindo Foundation for Indian Culture, spoke to them about the importance of Sanskrit in understanding the higher aspects of the culture of India and also for one’s own progress. The group met various members of the Ashram to have a deeper understanding of education, self-development and spirituality.

On 26th June 2015, Shivakumar, Director, India Council for Integral Education, spoke to them on ‘Spirituality and Life’. It was an interactive session wherein he gradually brought up the true meaning of spirituality, its relevance to youth and its significance in the transformation of all towards a beautiful future. He also laid emphasis that the starting point of all change, the beginning, has to be from oneself. Towards the end of session, there was a question-answer time too.

The students left with a greater clarity on a spiritual way of living and being.
