Second Annual Programme of Sri Aurobindo Siksha Kendra

Sri Aurobindo Siksha Kendra, Bishnupur in West Bengal, celebrated its 2nd Annual Programme on January 6 and 7, 2018, with great success. It was presided over by guests Mrs. Sita Deorah and Ms. Hansu Agarwal who expressed great happiness and shared their vision for the institution.

On January 6, a small programme was organized to celebrate the school’s 2nd anniversary which began at 9 a.m. All the students, staff and guardians came together at the school premises. The day began with a meditation with the Mother’s music followed by a wonderful presentation of Rabindrasangeets by the school’s teachers and students. A special Yoga competition was the concluding programme of the day. All students of Sri Aurobindo Siksha Kendra, apart from students from other schools, participated in the competition which was judged by national-level Yoga coaches.

On January 7, Sri Aurobindo Siksha Kendra organized a central One-Day Camp which started from 8 a.m. at the school premises and continued till 4 p.m. All the branches of Uchchal Probaho and surrounding schools participated in the camp. Throughout the day students got the opportunity to learn different activities such as singing, dancing, drawing, trekking, handicraft, band, gymnastics and many more. Lunch and snacks were provided which all the children relished.

Later in the evening, a colourful cultural programme and prize distribution ceremony marked the 2nd Annual Day celebration of the school. Prizes by special guests were distributed to students who scored high in attendance, were well-mannered and were all-rounders.

The evening was made more vibrant with various cultural programmes, which began with a dance drama ‘Selfish Giant’ put up by the school’s younger students. Following this, Amtala Uchchal Probaho presented a dance drama ‘SunnoTheke Bissho Suru’, while Bishnupur Uchchal Probaho presented a folk dance ‘Lok  Nritter Reshe, Sara Desha Desha’ which received a big round of applause.
